The Eagles CB Sheldon Brown may be not satisfied with his current contract and did not participate in Eagles Tuesday voluntary practice. Eagles coach Andy Reid told reporter "Sheldon is doing what Sheldon thinks he needs to do. I wish he was here." Is that something more important than preparing for coming season?
Eagles president Joe Banner denied in a radio interview that Brown was unhappy with his current contract. But afterwards, Brown expressed publicly he wanted a new contract or trade. The team has confirmed that there is no new contract for all players with four years remaining on their contracts, including Brown.
I guess Brown does not want to lose any opportunity to prove himself in games, so he still takes part in mandatory camp, but he also want to show his unhappiness, ant that is why he did not participate in voluntary team workout.
