Ravens RB is getting ahead of Veteran Willis McGahee

Since he was drafted by the Ravens, Rice has been running with the first-team offense. As Willis McGahee is under recovery from arthroscopic procedure on his knee, Rice is currently ahead of him on the Ravens’ depth chart.

McGahee told the Baltimore Sun that he is getting closer to 100 percent, but he does not likely pass Rice soon.

“I don't feel anything in my knee,” McGahee told the Baltimore Sun. “It was just getting it stronger and ready to break long runs and make great blocks.”

“It wouldn't be right,” McGahee said. “I don't mind. Work is work. That's either with the first, second or third.”

Rice has also impressed Ravens coach John Harbaugh and is taking more carries. He probably will open next season as a starter and bring more cheers for the Ravens.
