Sanchez still has to compete with Clemens for the starting job

After Jets' rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez signed a five-year contract including $28 million guarantee money, many people believed that Sanchez will take the starting job in this season. However, coach and players all said that competition is still open.

Kellen Clemens is the player who has been competing with Sanchez for the starting job. Coach Rex Ryan said that the front office has not changed the plan of letting the best player play, so the competition will continue. Sanches himself also confirmed that assertion.

And by the way, Clemens was excited about Sanchez successfully signing a big deal with the Jets, because they share the same agent, David Dunn. Sanchez's success means that Clemens will also probably get a contract as good someday.
