X-rays showed that there were no broken bones in Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams’ shoulder. However, Williams may still miss next Friday night’s preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The shoulder was bruised in a hard collision with a cornerback Orlando Scandrick and it was still sore, so Williams may be restricted for a few days, according to team owner Jerry Jones. For safety reason, the Cowboys may keep Williams out of the preseason finale next Friday in Minnesota.
Also starters usually do not play much in the last preseason game, so it is more likely for the Cowboys to play their last preseason game without Williams so that the wide receiver will be at full strength for the opener Sept. 13 at Tampa Bay.
