Texans QB Grossman will miss a month for injury

The Houston Texans will have to look for another quarterback to fill the spot left by Rex Grossman, who will be out for about a month because he got a hamsting injury in Saturday’s preseason opener against the Chiefs.

The players injured on Saturday night included safety Troy Nolan and fullback Boomer Grigsby. Nolan is a rookie seventh-round pick and will have surgery to repair a broken hand on Monday. Grigsby will also not be available to play in texans jersey for around a month with a high ankle sprain.

As Houston’s third quarterback and the former Bears starter, Grossman helped the Texans win over the Chiefs on Saturday night. Coach Gary Kubiak said that with only Matt Schaub and backup Dan Orlovsky it is not enough to finish the preseason with good score. The team is considering to get Alex Brink back. Brink was playing for the team last season.
