Love is a subject that is difficult to write about.  It is simple, yet so complicated.  I have been trying to write something that is comprehensive, clear, and not contradictory, but I realized that I can only start with a sketch, and leave the unsaid for later.  Love is important to a person what a Gibson jersey is to a player.

 

In this post, I will talk about romantic love, in a somewhat abstract version.  First, I like to make a distinction, about love and being in love.  I like to identify love as a type of emotion, and being in love as a type of status.  As an emotion, love can be dynamic, can be unstable, it can vary in reference to time; as an status, being in love is more defined and stabilized, you will be in love with Jim Edmonds jersey until you fell out of love.

But as emotion is changeable and can change constantly, how can we be in love as a status?
