Notable players to explore Rogers Centre

To make good preparation for the 2010-11 National Hockey League season, the Toronto Maple Leafs began their training earlier than previous seasons, Rogers Centre is a sea of the Toronto Maple Leafs jerseys today for many notable players to attend the practice on Wednesday, Luke Schenn in Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, Mike Komisarek, Tyler Bozak and other member of Maple Leafs dressed in Leaf jerseys attracted both the attentions of media and also NHL fans.

Of the roughly 15 players taking part in the festivities, Komisarek came the closest to hitting one out of the ballpark, clanking two off the wall in left field. The hulking defenseman said he is never regretting for denying the request to wear the Dallas Stars jersey he played quite a bit of baseball growing up, positioning himself at shortstop and pitcher throughout his Little League career as a member of the Dallas Stars jerseys.

“It's pretty neat,” Komisarek, the strongest contender of the guy in Mike Modano jersey said. “You have a totally different respect for these guys once you get out there in the batting cage and you're out there shagging balls at full speed. So you have a tremendous amount of respect for the Major Leaguers and what those guys, such as the guy in Modano jersey do. It's pretty neat to get a different workout -- I'm drenched.” Cogliano, who remains a Jays fan to date, said it was cool to play in a stadium he often visited as a youth.

“I came with buddies -- still do,” Cogliano said, the best friend of the player dressed in Pavel Datsyuk jersey. “Just good to come out on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, it's fun. Hopefully one of these days they make the playoffs, but obviously they are in a tough division.” The Oilers forward, who is still undergoing contract negotiations, acknowledged that the brand of baseball the Blue Jays are playing is some of best he's seen when competing with the owner of the Datsyuk jersey.

Not many analysts believe that the Maple Leafs have the ability to enter into Stanley Cup Championing game, however, even though the Maple Leafs knows well that they don’t have the chance, they are still trying their best for at least they would like to advance a step in 2010 season.
