Andrew Bogut participates in training camp

Andrew Bogut in charles barkley jersey participated in a 5-of-5 scrimmage with the Bucks on Friday as he recovers from serious elbow and finger injuries. And it was a sight that had to please Bucks coach Scott Skiles in portland trail blazers jersey and general manager John Hammond in blazers jerseys.

The 7-foot center was running the court and taking part in a five-on-five scrimmage, and he was knocked to the floor several times during the workout but bounced quickly to his feet. More than two weeks before the official opening of training camp, Bogut in brandon roy jersey suffered a broken right index finger, broken bones in his wrist and bone chips in his dislocated elbow after crashing to the floor on April 3. "I still feel it's going to be a long process for me, but I've already been scrimmaging here the last couple days," Bogut in kevin martin jersey said. "Obviously if I take a huge hit I might be in some trouble for now." While this news if definitely positive in nature, there's still an excellent chance he won't be ready to go for the first few weeks of the season, as he still can't fully extend his elbow and doesn't have confidence shooting with his right hand yet. He's still a solid fantasy option at center, but owners should be aware that he could miss at least 10 games or so as he works his way back to full strength.

Bogut in san antonio spurs jersey was playing well at the time of his injury, and he finished with team-leading averages of 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks over 69 games. Bogut in spurs jersey wore a protective sleeve on his right arm and showed no problems shooting with his left hand as he muscled inside to score several times at the end of the workout session. But he said he's not confident shooting with his right hand yet. Bogut in utah jazz jersey said his goal is to be ready for the Bucks' regular-season opener on Oct. 27 in New Orleans. Bogut in jazz jerseys said he was excited about the Bucks' prospects this season and the moves made in the off-season by general manager John Hammond.

"They said, 'Are you going to scrimmage?' I said, 'Why not, I'll play a couple games and see how it goes.' And from then on it's been pretty good. I anticipate there might be a little swelling that I just have to monitor and be careful with. But for the most part it's felt pretty good."

Though Hobson's signing already put them at the maximum 15 guaranteed contracts, the Bucks had no choice but to offer Tiny Gallon a non-guaranteed tender offer by September 6 or risk losing his rights. And while many players would have tried to find guaranteed money in Europe rather than risk the chance of being out of work on opening night, Gallon in karl malone jersey apparently couldn't find a Euro gig or didn't want one (or both).

Unless the Bucks manage a trade or have a change of heart about one of their guaranteed deals (ie Hobson or Boykins in deron williams jersey), Gallon in john stockton jersey will probably participate in camp and preseason activities and then get his marching orders by the time the regular season starts on October 27 and the 15-man roster limit kicks in. The best-case scenario for the Bucks at this point would probably be trading Gallon for a future 2nd rounder, though draft picks can't be traded for 30 days after they sign their contract. So the Bucks will have a month to watch Gallon up close and see if the work he's been putting in with John Lucas changes their mind. I wouldn't bet on it, but at this point nothing would surprise me.
