Andrew Bogut may miss the opener season

Andrew Bogut may miss the opener season

In a recent interview, the last paragraph of the regular season last year, suffered serious injuries elbow Bucks center Andrew - Andrew Bogut (Andrew Bogut in clippers jersey), said his elbow is still recovering, but he is so sure about whether his elbow would recover to 100% performance before the first month of the season ,he is not sure about it.

"It's getting there, frustrating. Just in Europe, doing physio twice a day. Doing physio every day since being back and you don't see immediate results, with my elbow at least. It's frustrating.

"I'm optimistic that I should be ready for the season but you never know with these things because of the nerve damage and so on, it's on its own course.

"[It's my decision] I'm one of those guys in clippers jerseys who will play through injury but if I'm not 100% for the season to start, there is no sense going into an NBA season at 85% 'cause we're playing up to May.

"I'm still not even shooting the basketball. I shot the ball a little bit in Europe and got a bunch of fluid down in my elbow so I had to stop shooting. So at the moment I'm just lifting weights and conditioning so we'll see what happens."

Andrew Bogut, the Bucks' center in los angeles clippers jersey who broke his arm in a horrific on-court crash in April, was expected to be back in action for the beginning of the 2010-11 season, one for which expectations are high in Milwaukee.

"I'm one of those guys

The Bucks, who made the 2009-10 playoffs as a No. 6 seed in the East and took the Hawks to seven games despite Bogut's ill-timed injury, have spent big in advance of the new season. Milwaukee traded for the rich contract of small forward Corey Maggette in nuggets jerseys, re-signed shooting guard John Salmons in chris andersen jersey to a fat deal and brought in power forward Drew Gooden for the full mid-level exception. Clearly, the Bucks are going for it. Bogut's the team's most important player. From my perspective, it's good to see he has a clear head about this: it's better the team misses him for a few October-November weeks than to have him at sub-optimal effectiveness in April and May.

Yikes. Losing Bogut for even a month could put the Bucks in a hole to start the season. The good news is that they did bolster their frontcourt with Drew Gooden in golden state warriors jersey and Larry Sanders in warriors jersey who might be able to at least function with Brandon Jennings in warriors jerseys and Corey Maggette in hakeem olajuwon jersey handling the scoring load until Bogut returns.
